
CNIDR (The Clearinghouse for Networked Information Discovery and
Retrieval)
CNIDR was created in 1992 with a grant from the National Science
Foundation (NSF). Its purpose is to coordinate and disseminate information
on consistency and compatibility among network information discovery and
retrieval tools (NIDR). In addition, CNIDR serves to collect or create,
classify and distribute information pertaining to NIDR. CNIDR works with
the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Coalition for Networked
Information.
